Job Title: Salesforce, Systems Engineer

Dublin, Ireland


The Systems Engineer is responsible for administering and managing the applications that support our mission critical business processes. The Systems Engineer will be the primary technical and process expert in their service area and will work in collaboration with various technical teams, business stakeholders, and technology vendors in support of Salesforce end to end business processes. Daily activities will include, but are not limited to, enterprise application support, resolving technical and functional system issues, performing trend analysis and identifying enhancements to reduce support requests, and collaborating with various teams to implement new and enhanced functionality. The successful candidate must be agile and able to support multiple priorities and various technologies.

  • Administer, manage, configure and support various enterprise applications aligned to a Business unit or platform

  • Salesforce platform administration

  • Workday platform administration

  • Possess proven skills and sound knowledge of ETL/BI processes and best practices and experience with development activities.

  • Applies knowledge and expertise with technology and application development methodologies to perform system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, design, and storage.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify technology modifications that will impact business processes

  • Provides support of all system/service components, including installation, configuration, maintenance and support

  • Partner with various teams to implement new functionality via Agile based processes; activities include service planning, configuration, operational readiness assessments, runlist reviews and code deployments

  • Implement monitoring services to proactively identify issues

  • Maintains updated system documentation and Salesforce policies/procedures

  • Maintain and demonstrate 100% compliance with all written security policies, SOX procedures, and change management controls

  • Analyze various systems regarding best practices for data archivals, sunsetting of various systems end to end

  • Manage and maintain legacy data archival environment


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or other related technical field

  • 7+ years of related Information systems experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence

  • Expertise in setting up Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) processes using tools Informatica or Matillion

  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts, such as star schemas, snowflakes, conformed dimensions, Slowly Changing Dimension Types etc.

  • Expertise in implementing high availability, multi-clustering node distribution of Tableau server in windows or Linux

  • Proficient in server administration and all Tableau platforms including desktop, prep, server, and web-based

  • Expertise in using TSM and tabcmd CLI utilities

  • Deep and strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and Unix shell / Windows batch scripting

  • Solid hands-on experience of AWS and/or GCP cloud computing platform and ecosystem

  • Familiarity with SOX protocols, Change Management and Release Management principles and processes

  • Perform all typical third party software product administration functions within a Windows or Linux environment

  • Understanding of ITIL Service Support concepts including Incident and Problem Management

  • Strong knowledge on Linux administration

  • Understanding of SDLC life cycle

  • Strong analytical and Communication skills

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic and fast growing environment

Desired Skills:

  • Salesforce ecosystem and products

  • Knowledge and understanding of HR business functions, including benefits, performance management, recruiting, and compensation - Workday knowledge is ideal

  • Understanding of HR data models especially core HR, Recruiting, management, security, business processes and organizational hierarchies - Workday knowledge is ideal

  • Conceptual or hands on knowledge of the following financial platforms; NetSuite, Hyperion, Oracle ERP, OBIEE, Workday Modules, etc.

  • Snowflake, or similar analytical data warehouse platform

  • Tableau server & desktop certified
