Job Details

We are looking for an experienced product leader to drive product and business operations for the Message & Journeys product line. This role will be responsible for leading executive customer and industry analyst activities. It will require deep market and product expertise to drive credibility and leadership in the Messaging domain. This role will partner with the GM and leadership team toward the creation and execution of the Messaging & Journeys product strategy and then evangelize the direction internally and externally. The individual is expected to possess significant operational experience and expertise to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the product team. The role is highly cross-functional and requires a candidate that enjoys navigating ambiguity, working in a fast-paced environment, aligning exec stakeholders, collaborating with teams across time-zones and thinking globally.

This position will report to the Messaging & Journeys GM. The role will work closely with leadership across the organization and will directly and indirectly support individuals that will be leading several high-profile initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion the product - Drive customer, analyst and field activities based on deep product expertise and credibility. Passionately promote the detailed portfolio product roadmap internally and externally. Provide a connective tissue between the product organization and all external stakeholders.

  • Support the creation and execution of the Messaging & Journeys product strategy - Ensure that it aligns with the overall product and company vision. Be an expert on the domain, the market, the trends. Partner and evangelize the vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context and understand where we are going.

  • Represent the customer - Be the champion and voice of customers. Build impactful, personal relationships with customers, engineering teams, and the field. Bring the customer’s voice into the product processes.

  • Drive Results - Leverage deep operations experience to drive and improve cross-team processes. Establish Messaging & Journeys as the benchmark for overall Marketing Cloud processes. Attack everything with drive and energy with an eye on both the bottom line and customer success.

  • Lead and collaborate across teams - We win or lose as a team. Product Managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders. The Messaging & Journeys Long Range Plan requires many cross-functional team initiatives. A collaborative approach and attitude is essential.

  • Enrich the culture - Partner with the GM to coach and mentor the product management team for the next phase of growth for the business. Lead by example toward a data-driven, results-oriented, innovative, best-in-class product organization.


Required Skills/Experience

  • Equivalent of 10 years of product management or similar experience in large scale enterprise solutions.

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud or product expertise preferred.

  • Proven ability to collaborate and lead a successful cross-functional team.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level executive business discussions and deep technical discussions.

  • Solid visual communication skills.

  • Confidence in delivering product demonstrations, including the ability to tell a story and communicate business value in addition to product features and benefits
