Financial Crime Technical Specialist - CDD / ODD

We have a great opportunity for a Financial Crime Technical Specialist -Customer Due Diligence/On-boarding Due Diligence to join our team in Milton Keynes or London, on an 18-month fixed term contract.

As a Financial Crime Technical Specialist - Customer Due Diligence/On-boarding Due Diligence, you will have a thorough and detailed understanding of FC systems and processes, whilst providing oversight of the activity involving these systems including owning all Audit and Assurance actions, Incident management, system access management, vendor liaison and new product approval related to financial crime prevention.

As a Financial Crime Technical Specialist- Customer Due Diligence/On-boarding Due Diligence your main responsibilities will be

* Being the subject matter expert on Customer Due Diligence/On-boarding Due Diligence
* Providing guidance to key stakeholders on Financial Crime systems used within the Line 1 team
* Identifying new system capabilities and their application to mitigate financial crime risk
* Writing business requirements as needed to inform IT of changes necessary in Financial Crime Prevention systems
* Reviewing new products and services being introduced in the business and ensure any financial crime risk is captured and mitigated as needed to be adhere to policies
* Owning actions relating to systems from audit and assurance findings
* Undertaking end to end thematic reviews
* Engaging positively with multiple stakeholders including vendor technical teams, Line 2 Financial Crime Compliance and other control functions such as Operational Risk, Internal Audit, Assurance, Fraud & Governance and Control

Minimum skills and experience required

* Deep understanding of Retail Financial Crime Prevention including Customer Due Diligence/On-boarding Due Diligence
* Previous experience in programming / writing code / SQL / Access / Excel / Teradata / Oracle data bases / Sass programming will be highly advantageous
* Extensive background in Risk and Controls
* Aptitude for communicating effectively and liaising with various stakeholders at all levels

You'll be based in one of our biggest offices in the UK, right in the heart of Milton Keynes, home to a range of key functions including Marketing, Finance and Risk and conveniently located only a short walking distance from Milton Keynes Central rail station and Shopping Centre.
