Market Risk Manager - FI Trading - Permanent - London

We have exciting opportunity for a Market Risk Manager to join our team in London.

The Santander London Branch Market Risk department in the Risk Division is a dynamic and leading edge function supporting and adding value to the Santander Corporate Investment Banking. The businesses trade an extensive portfolio of Interest Rate and Equity Derivatives.

The team is looking for a Market Risk Manager to join a small team in the daily production and analysis of market risk reports.

As a Market Risk Manager your main responsibilities will be

* Mentoring the junior analysts in the team who will have varying degrees of experience and knowledge
* Ensuring the smooth operation of Risk and P&L report production
* Reviewing a Risk mandate of permissible trading activity (including a comprehensive limit structure)
* Articulate Risk issues to senior management either directly or via Fora and Committee
* Identifying, resolving and escalating risk issues in a timely manner
* Assisting in projects to develop and support new products, systems and business initiatives
* Working closely with the front office and various support teams on a daily basis
* Improve, design and implement processes to automate analysis and reporting using Excel

Minimum skills and experience required

* Strong knowledge of Fixed Income (Rates) derivative products and markets
* Advance user in Excel & VBA
* Understanding of Sensitivities, Greeks, VAR and Stress VAR
* Stakeholder engagement
* Strong communication skills

Location

This role is based in our office in Brock Street, London. This office is conveniently located within walking distance from Euston Station and Warren Street Station.
