Portfolio Risk Manager - Permanent - London

We have an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Risk Manager to join us on a permanent basis in our Triton Square office.

The team's primary role is to manage credit risk policies and to support delivery of commercial strategy whilst operating within risk appetite. This involves analysing information and trends relating to Wholesale, Corporate and Commercial portfolios.

As a Portfolio Risk Manager your main responsibilities will be

* Identify and assess emerging risks or sustainable growth opportunities in the portfolios, recommending appropriate action to risk appetite and policies.
* Contribute to shaping the risk appetite by way of strategic commercial plans, budget and 3 year plans, providing robust challenge and feedback.
* Provide guidance in risk appetite, credit risk policy and governance to stakeholders, interacting with senior management and a number of teams.
* Regularly review existing credit risk frameworks and policies in accordance with appropriate approval governance.
* Undertake any regulatory or other reporting requirements with accuracy and within agreed defined timescales.

Minimum skills and experience required

* A demonstrable track record in accurately delivering on multiple work streams and within tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, in a confident, articulate and coherent manner.
* A broad understanding of corporate credit risk and its application in portfolio management.
* Ability to digest and interrogate large volumes of information with recommendation of appropriate actions.
* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to ensure buy-in to proposed courses of action from senior leaders.
