Head of HR

I am delighted to be partnering with an organisation that supports recreational sport, protecting our countryside and promoting a healthy lifestyle. They are looking to appoint a Head of HR to lead and develop the HR department.

As Head of HR you will be responsible for leading the HR and Facilities functions, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture in which all employees can achieve their potential. You will champion the organisation and enable it to become a truly great place to work. You will create an environment that will be a employer of choice for future employees and one which is better able to recruit, retain and develop its people. You will be the guardian of the People Strategy delivering key areas including performance management, recruitment and HRIS reviews. Supported by two HR Business Partners you will drive the people strategy across the organisation upskilling Managers and offering HR support and guidance to the CEO and additional senior leadership team. You will manage the HR partners with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other key stakeholders across the organisation ensuring that all HR policy and procedures are up to date and in line with key employment laws. By driving a best practice approach you will ensure the HR and Facilities team members provide the appropriate support to all employees.

To be successful in this role you will have worked as a experienced HR generalist who will have some direct line management experience, you will have worked in a similar sized business of 100- 200 headcount. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to align a people strategy to business objectives whilst using your influencing skills to manager SLT expectations. As sole guardian of the HR offering you with your team cover all areas within a generalist role, L&D, recruitment, employee engagement, employee relations and policies and procedures. You will have experience in these areas and ideally will have worked on developing a HRIS so that is used efficiently and effectively for the organisation. Within this role you will manage the Facilities Manager and oversee the volunteer network and relationship with the organisation and lead by its values and ethos. Experience working within the charity sector is desirable but not essential. You will bring energy and have a can do positive approach willing to work collaboratively with your team and the employees you support. This role would suit a HRBP or HR Manager looking for a step up or a senior level HR professional with experience embedding a HR team and strategy within a SME. You will hold a CIPD or equivalent.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
