Commercial Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

- Drive growth of FMCG category business through managing existing accounts and new business in the UAE in line with Disney’s core strategies.

- Expand Disney brand presence at retail: work jointly with licensees and retailers to implement key activations

- Support on Company’s regional strategy at local level: New business opportunities, New projects, Franchises focus


Responsibilities:

Day-to-Day



- P&L responsibility for the FMCG accounts managed

- Build and maintain excellent relationship with defined licensees and retailers

- Regular contact with relevant buyers, departments (e.g. Marketing) at retail / joint business planning

- Work closely with the internal relevant different functions to increase number of sku’s with licensees and grow their business

- Work closely with Marketing to provide integrated promo, merchandise plans to relevant licensees and retailers

- Team up with product development team to drive the relevant offer and ranges of compelling products

- Coordinate product approvals with Product Development team locally and regionally

- Communicate company plans and updates externally with relevant licensees (and distributors) and retailers

- Secure and improve existing business, initiate & launch proactively new products, projects and properties

- Ensure thorough understanding and compliance of Disney’s contract, terms and conditions with partners

- Assist the establishment of efficient distribution services.

- Manage on-going contracts of current and new partners with the Finance team

- Support the FMCG and NBD manager and team through implementing regional strategies and new projects



Objective



- Deliver against annual financial targets for the assigned FMCG licensees and retailers (DTR’s).

- Build strong relationships with our key retail partners and licensees to fill product gaps and continually grow our market share.

- Provide Key account management to designated retailers for long term business development.

- Pitch new business development projects in line with the company’s direction.

- Implement Integrated Business Planning (Range planning, Marketing & promotion calendars)

- Achieve relevant product expansion plans, sales goals and execute promotions fixed in Business plan

- Drive and implement TWDC’s franchise strategy with assigned licensees and retailers

- Manage allocated budgets

- Proactively seek out additional growth opportunities

- Establish and organize the set-up of regular catch-ups & performance reviews with licensees and retailers


Basic Qualifications:

- Undergraduate or graduate with ideally a Business Management degree

- 4 or more years experience in sales with branded consumer product companies or retailers, preferably in an international environment

- Category management experience and or/ Category buyer and Product development

- Strong FMCG business skills

- Strong communication and relationship building skills

- Ability to multi-task within a small, fast-paced & dynamic group

- At ease with numbers and category finance planning & reporting
