The Global Cash Management group is responsible for efficiently and effectively managing the Company’s global cash and banking activities with the goal of meeting business needs on a timely basis, maintaining adequate controls over the company assets, minimizing cost, and optimizing interest. The group works closely with internal and external business partners to ensure the proper and efficient availability of liquidity across the Company, including establishing the daily cash position, monitoring global balances, implementing liquidity/pooling structures, and supporting funding efforts. The group also works closely with our global business units and banking partners to analyze and implement effective cash management and trade finance solutions to meet the diverse needs of all segments within the Company, including: Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP), Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution (DMED), our many content and production studios (e.g. Walt Disney Pictures, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, etc.), and Corporate. The group has a key role in managing our Corporate banking relationships, including supporting potential business opportunities and managing counterparty exposure.


The Director will oversee all aspects of the Global Cash Management function. In that capacity, the Director will provide strategic guidance, appropriate governance, resource allocation, and direct contributions to ensure the group efficiently and effectively manages the Company’s global cash and banking activities with the goal of meeting business needs on a timely basis, maintaining adequate controls over the company assets, minimizing cost, and optimizing interest. In order to achieve these objectives, the Director will support best-in-class initiatives around fraud prevention, risk mitigation, straight through processing, governance, technology and global liquidity management. The Director will directly oversee a professional domestic staff of 10-12 individuals in performing this role, and will have additional functional oversight of Global Cash Management activities performed by about 20 individuals located in our four international Regional Treasury Centers (APAC, EMEA, LATAM, India).

The Director, Global Cash Management will lead and execute cash management strategies and operating activities. Specifically, the Director will:
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to ensure various day-to-day functions and strategic initiatives of the department operate in a unified and efficient manner, meeting or exceeding objectives
  • Develop and execute cash and liquidity management strategies to ensure an efficient use of global cash, including coordinating with other Treasury and Tax departments
  • Consult with internal business partners to identify and implement cash management solutions that meet their business requirements and offer potential cost or efficiency improvements (funding needs, payment card options, remote production accounts, letters of credit, cash vault services, collection accounts, etc.)
  • Ensure appropriate measures are in place to protect the value and reporting of the Company’s monetary assets, including global policies and procedures, fraud protection mechanisms, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Manage key global cash management banking relationships, ensuring the Company is receiving a robust product offering, the provision of excellent customer service, and a competitive fee structure, while looking for business opportunities to support our relationship banks
  • Drive innovative technology and / or process solutions to enhance efficiency, improve controls, adopt emerging and beneficial market practices, and / or reduce manual processes
  • Select, lead, and motivate a professional staff of 10-12 to further their development and effectively utilize their capabilities, including team building, training, and performance management

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience, preferably in treasury/cash management or related experience in a multinational company
  • Five or more years of management experience, leading a team of individuals
  • Strong track record of building strong internal and external business relationships
  • Strong ability to communicate vision, strategies, issues, and action plans to senior management
  • Track record of setting challenging goals and holding him/herself and others on the team accountable to those goals in order to deliver results
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload to ensure appropriate controls while driving forward strategic initiatives
  • Proven ability to develop and implement solutions without clear precedents

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SWIFT in a multi-national corporate environment
  • Certified Treasury Professional

Required Education

  • BA/BS degree in business administration, economics, finance or related field

Preferred Education

  • MBA or equivalent preferred
