This position currently reports to the Executive Vice President, Commercial Marketing, Networks and ESPN.


You would be responsible for the day-to-day workings of the leader you support. Our teams create Marketing strategies, campaigns and creative work that engages millions of fans and viewers each day. We are working on behalf of world-class Brands that require world-class attention to detail, insight and flawless execution. Whether it is scheduling a meeting, developing travel plans, interfacing with colleagues far and wide, or creating presentations, everything must be done to the highest standards. It goes without saying that there will be expense reports, travel planning, hundreds of phone messages and endless calendar jockeying, but this job is very much about people. The relationship you form with the executive you support is absolutely critical, because that’s what enables you to become a true partner. In addition to understanding your executive’s business -- and business needs -- inside and out, you’ll also need deep knowledge of the leadership and workings of ESPN, ABC, FX, NatGeo and the entire Networks team, and of related departments across the Disney enterprise. As the “face” of your executive within The Walt Disney Company, your professionalism, loyalty and attitude are a reflection of the office, and as such, are a key component to its success. Every day as an Executive Support Professional is different! On any given day you might:
  • Assist Executive Vice President in providing a range of administrative support functions focused upon the needs of assigned executive in carrying out the responsibilities of their position
  • Coordinate the administration, logistics and flow of the work for the assigned executive; tracks and follows-up on key “to-do” items in behalf of the assigned executive
  • Conduct a range of assignments derived from the duties and responsibilities of the executive served; specific functions performed for the assigned executive include, but are not limited to: coordinating and maintaining the appointment calendars; gathering and abstracting materials for such events as meetings, conferences and presentations; administering travel arrangements and related travel and entertainment expense reports; answering and screening incoming calls; reviewing and categorizing incoming correspondence / memoranda / emails; preparing routine correspondence, memoranda and e-mail responses; arranging receptions / lunches / dinners; attending staff meeting and taking and editing notes of such meetings; maintaining contact lists and databases
  • Understand the day’s priorities so you can be strategic about how you direct phone calls;
  • Be ready to throw the entire schedule out the door when an emergency comes up, then pick it up again when the dust settles
  • Handle extremely confidential, sensitive information, remembering that Disney is a publicly traded company
  • Arranges visits / tours by major executives / representatives of clients / affiliates / sponsors / executives of TWDC / regulators and legislators; screens and responds to employee requests; arranges and coordinates interviews with representatives of the media and may participate in the preparation for and conduct of these interviews
  • Interacts with a wide variety of high level Disney and ESPN and external contacts in behalf of the executive served
  • Interacts with high level representatives of the media, clients, affiliates, public figures in behalf of the assigned executive; may coordinate and / or participate in meetings and interviews with these contacts
  • Responsible for ordering event/game tickets and handle allocation to the Marketing team
  • Build and create Power Point decks for Executive’s offsite presentations

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years supporting a Vice President and/or equivalent experience
  • Sharp written and verbal communication skills, including flawless grammar and a rich vocabulary
  • Desire to immerse yourself fully and learn all aspects of your executive’s business
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables
  • Strong proficiency with all types of computers, phones and office equipment, as well as mastery of Microsoft Office programs, SAP, Confluence, Concur, and working in a Windows environment
  • A calm head and steady hand to deal with the unexpected
  • “EQ” skills to build bridges, forge alliances and encourage people to want to work with you;
  • Complete reliability handling confidential, often highly sensitive information
  • Desire to truly be helpful to your leaders and co-workers, to go the extra mile without being asked
  • Very strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail; and
  • A highly professional demeanor, positive outlook and a can-do attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

It would be great if you also had these skills:
  • Experience at TWDC
  • Strong knowledge of MacBook.
