Strategic Projects & Operations Manager, APAC OD&TS

Job Summary:

Job Purpose
The Strategic Projects & Operations Manager works in close collaboration with the Director of APAC OD & Talent Solutions (OTS) in designing and executing an effective and efficient support/operational infrastructure for the regional function and its 4 product/service portfolios of (1) Organization Development, (2) Learning & Development, (3) Talent Management and (4) Diversity & Inclusion. The role requires active ownership, accountability and analytical thinking as applied to data analytics and metrics, process alignment and optimization, improved efficiencies and economies of scale in execution and delivery. The successful candidate must be experienced and keen to drive organizational metrics, business process alignment and innovations, quality measurements, and operational governance. As the scope includes basic consulting and training responsibilities, basic business partnering, HR acumen and training/facilitation skills will also be required.


  1. Strategic Projects
  • Use smart data analytics and metrics to establish an integrated dashboard of the 4 portfolios to be used in HR and business consulting
  • Monitor OTS annual roadmap plans and manage year-round calendar of programs and activities
  • Help manage OTS product and service brands and effective, efficient communication channels to stakeholders and end-users
  • Work with APAC Sourcing team a systematic vendor management process with quality standards when engaging and receiving services from vendors
  • Work with Finance to manage and optimize OTS functional budgets across APAC and local allocations
  • Explore new online/virtual tools, teleconferencing platforms, softwares and apps for session deployments, online facilitations and virtual collaboration solutions
  1. Operations Management
  • Design with the Head of OTS the overall operational infrastructure and systems to support and sustain deployment of the 4 portfolios’ programs and services across APAC
  • Partner with OTS Head and portfolio owners to align standard session deployment, communications and resourcing processes for different global, regional and local offerings
  • Work with HR Operations team/s to assess and plan for operational transfer and transition of transactional, repetitive tasks and activities from APAC OTS to their shared services
  1. People Management
  • Manage staff of interns supporting general operational tasks and logistical details of OTS programs and projects across APAC
  • Lead and guide interns in daily problem solving by mapping short and long term solutions as ready reference guides; provide coaching/mentoring where needed
  • Manage overall performance of interns by setting clear expectations, quality standards and tracking progress to commitments/timelines
  1. Basic Consulting and Training
  • Be able to partner with local business HR and leaders to look into local requests/requirements related to OTS’ 4 portfolios; fast learning and acumen of OTS products and services a must
  • Work with portfolio owners to source, customize or collaborate in designing local solutions
  • Ability to deliver and facilitate basic trainings and workshops at local level

  • Effective stakeholder management and interpersonal communications
  • Experience and interest in operations, quality systems, and continuous improvement
  • Mature and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Proactive and collaborative team player.
  • Some experience in managing junior staff a plus
  • Effective written and verbal English and Mandarin
