Been out of the workforce for two or more years and ready to come back? Already built a career in financial services (or in a transferable role) and want to take the next step on your career path?

We recognize the added value that experienced talent brings into our workplace. And we also know that it’s not always easy to find the right work opportunity after a career break. That’s where UBS Career Comeback comes in – to help make the transition back to work a success.

Do you have financial regulatory experience and a practical knowledge of wealth management products and services? Do you have a solid background in the legal profession? We're looking for someone like this to:

– act as a subject matter expert for a wide range of products including structured credit/margined transactions, deposit taking, cash products and mortgage facilities
– be involved in all stages of product lifecycle including new product approvals
– stay up to date with relevant regulatory developments to make sure we meet all obligations to our customers and regulators
– collaborate with the wider Group Legal on regulatory initiatives and advise our Wealth Management colleagues about the impact of regulatory developments on their business

Your team

You'll be working in the Wealth Management UK legal team. We’re trusted advisers to our Wealth Management colleagues in London supporting them to manage the legal risks related to the products and services they offer our customers. We also work closely with external counsel and our colleagues around the globe to make sure the legal and regulatory advice we give to our businesses is consistent and fits internal policies.

Your expertise

– worked in a similar position as an in-house lawyer or at a private practice for ideally 5+ years
– fully qualified as a lawyer in England and Wales (or other common law jurisdiction)
– excellent product knowledge
– experience working with senior leadership teams on commercially sensitive matters
– regulatory awareness
– drive, enthusiasm and motivation, paired with a keen commercial sense and risk management skillset
– an exceptional written and verbal communicator, used to interacting with colleagues and challenging stakeholders at all levels
– an expert at building networks and connections
– familiar with the private wealth management industry
– known for hitting deadlines
– comfortable in working in a dynamic and varied legal environment
