Sr Manager, Marketplace Seller Support

Our commerce mission is to save the world's consumers time and money on everyday purchases and purchases related to their passions. Verizon Media is seeking a Sr Manager, Marketplace Seller Support to help grow and manage its commerce business across its suite of brands spanning Yahoo, Engadget, TechCrunch, InTheKnow and others. Sellers are vital to the success of Verizon Media's marketplace to offer a robust product selection of millions of products for sale on our marketplace. Sellers are a significant contributor to our ability to provide a great shopping experience for customers, so making those sellers successful on our platform is a priority for Verizon Media. The Seller Support team is at the forefront of engaging sellers, and building tools and programs to make them successful and enhancing the seller experience.

You will work closely with the cross-functional marketplace operations team, technical team to build self-help tools and leaders build internal processes, analytics and systems to manage day-to-day seller performance. From the people picking up the phone when a seller has a question to our technical teams leveraging the latest technologies to help merchants succeed, we are an organization focused on customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Onboard third-party sellers to Marketplace platform
  • Assist seller integration via manual, portal or API processes
  • Maintain Marketplace product hierarchy for seller mapping
  • Own configuration of Marketplace platform and seller / product rules
  • Partner with merchant development and category management team with functional issues
  • Be the interface between category managers, customer care and IT teams regarding order incidents
  • Monitor system performance data, proactively Identify Issues and manage resolution


Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 6+ years minimum experience in program / project management / customer service roles
  • Experience in project management and operations with a history of execution in launching products / features that meet or exceed goals, on budget and on schedule
  • Confidence to drive and manage large conference calls potentially with leadership teams or with external partners
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally to a wide range of constituencies in a diverse environment.
  • Detail oriented, problem-solving oriented and strong intellectual curiosity
  • Leadership and managerial experience in leading cross-functional teams across time zones
  • Effective organizational skills to maintain a consistently high standard of operations in a busy environment
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and build trust among stakeholders
