You will be contributing to a cross platform distributed system with high volumes of omnidirectional traffic having SAP S/4HANA as the backbone of this system surrounded by multiple other technologies. The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Being in pursuit of a degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or related discipline, you will spend most of your time participating in the design and creation of scalable software. Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end using a range of different technologies and languages. Spend a proportionate amount of time unit testing and reviewing QA and UAT test scripts You will have exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD. You will identify system issues and bugs and provide elegant solutions without performance overheads. Exposure/Awareness of APIs / Microservices development. Clearly articulate system capabilities and propose solutions to new or ongoing business problems. Transform Functional requirements into technical program specs to code, test, and debug programs. Be willing to learn about existing (legacy) IT platforms as well as new market offerings (SaaS) in this domain What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? The hiring manager for this role is Carlos Chacón, Senior Manager leading the IT Finance apps development team, who has spent 5 years at VMware driving software design and delivery for various enterprise initiatives. In addition to providing clear direction, expectations, and guidance for team members to work independently, Carlos encourages the team to be leaders and become key players by developing not only strong technical skills, but communication, coordination and planning skills that are relevant in an Agile world. This is a geographically distributed team comprising of ABAP developers, full stack developers and software engineers at multiple levels working on different technology stacks.
