The Elevator Pitch: Why will you enjoy this new opportunity? Working with the Pricing and Monetization team, you will work with a globally spread-out world-class team of business professionals. Here you will have a front row seat to engage with the various business units as well as the various operations team to drive a charter that impacts VMware’s top and bottom-line growth. You will have exposure to working and learning various licensing models like Perpetual, SaaS/Subscription, Hybrid, etc. You will have first-hand experience of business operations relating to Pricing and monetization operations. Come join us as VMware leads the race in the Multi-Cloud SaaS/Subscription world. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? As you join this team, you will be aligned to pricing ops activities and deliverables for a certain Business Unit. In the first 6-12 months, you will be able to: Work with Business units to understand business asks and prepare SKU and Pricing deliverables necessary for VMware booking, billing, quoting and Price Books operations Handle escalations from business units or from other business operations teams Participate in managing pricing alias cases Engage in various transformational projects within the company What are the requirements? Student currently enrolled in college Advanced English Be able to commit, full time to the 12-week program, beginning in May 2022. The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Based on what is the charter assigned to you, you can engage in the below activities: SKU and Pricing creation for business offers Price Book creation for VMware Setting up of pricing and SKU related information in various VMware systems for bookings, billings, price books, quoting, etc. Handling case management queries Work with subject matter experts in driving key transformational projects that impact business operations What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? The hiring manager for this role is Rebeca Vargas. She is based in Costa Rica and leads a team that has team members from Costa Rica and India. Her team is aligned to many of the key business units of VMware, and they manage many important deliverables for VMware. Rebeca is a leader who leads by example. She encourages a trust-based work culture that is goal oriented and that drives team spirit and collaboration. She has extensive experience across various business operations. The team culture is very dynamic where people are encouraged to keep learning and take calculated risks as they become more and more independent. The team likes to chill together and work together so that it is always exciting at workplace. Where is this role located? Flexible: The location of this role is flexible within Costa Rica. Work will be done from an office some days during a week and other days from a non-VMware building.
