Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? Within the first 2 months of employment, you will become familiar to Enterprise Data Management team (global team), department main activities/projects, our main stakeholders, data sources & existing training materials (i.e., videos, documentation) Progressively you will be assigned to a new or ongoing project where you will have the opportunity to start learning more about VMware’s core business and enhancing/expanding your current set of abilities while working together with the senior and lead analysts on delivering specific business requirements. After the first 4 months you will be able to get more ownership as part of the project activities: Mainly working on requirements gathering, process/data analysis, business presentations, quality assurance and solutioning. What are the requirements? Graduated in the last 12 months of the University Advanced English The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Your regular activities may be modified to suit your professional strengths, but you can expect a variety of following assignments: Preparation of business presentations Develop documentation to support the project planning & implementation process. Analyze and Profile Master and Transactional data based on the project needs. (Metrics, Data Quality Assurance) Create process flowcharts, propose process enhancements Participate on daily basis meetings/ project workshops Create in-depth business requirements across a variety of business functions for larger company driven projects Partner closely with IT teams on functional requirements and design to drive successful end state solutions and user experiences Participate as part of multiple initiatives to ensure the appropriate business consumption and use of key Master Data. What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? The Hiring Manager for this role is Alonso Guilá, a business & project manager of profession with more than 5 years working at Vmware Inc. The team is distributed across and works from different parts of the globe. Most of the team works from Cost Rica, while others work from India & USA. For now, due to current COVID 19 global situation this role is remote within Costa Rica and will not be assigned to a fixed office. This means it could be done anywhere with a strong internet connection and limited distractions.
