Account Manager

Summary of Role
This key senior role will primarily focus on the servicing of premium and claims bordereau relating to binding authorities placed within our newly formed Alternative Distribution Operation (ADO). Reporting to the Operations Director, this role will liaise directly with Clients and Coverholders to advise and assist with all aspects of their binder operations, ensuring high quality service, timely processing of bordereau and prompt settlements to/from Insurers. 
The Role
  • Support Binding Authority Department (ADO) with advice and technical knowledge with regards to all servicing aspects of the process / product for the Global portfolio / pipeline
  • Ensure contract records are accurately maintained within transaction system
  • Load market onto transactional in accordance with contract requirements, ensuring all taxes and other deductions are recorded
  • Create new organization records as required
  • Maintain close working relationships with Brokers, Clients, Coverholders, Underwriters, TPA"EURTMs and Xchanging
  • Generate and issue confirmation of cover, debit notes and closing instructions
  • Work closely with the wider team to ensure effective delivery of Client service to Willis Re Clients
  • Check production of premium bordereau ensuring timely and accurate processing into transactional system
  • Process Client"EURTMs claim instructions accurately within the Willis Re process timescales and communicate pertinent information as necessary to obtain prompt agreement 
  • Obtain claim(s) agreement as per contract conditions to ensure the secure, efficient and auditable handling of Client monies 
  • Responsibility for the creation of claims files in line with contractual conditions
  • Assist with the monitoring of payments and support in chasing unpaid balances as necessary
  • Advising Clients/Coverholders as required on all technical aspects of their binder operations 
  • Manage and resolve queries from Clients, Coverholders, Underwriters and TPA"EURTMs
  • Perform Second Pair Of Eyes (SPOE) checks at stages in Willis Excellence Model process and act as an approved authoriser as appropriate
  • Adhere to standard Group policies and procedures, including all WEM and other regulatory requirements

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written 
  • Able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders; from operational teams to senior management
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Detailed knowledge of delegated binding authorities
  • Experience of premium and claims binding authority bordereau processing 
  • Ability to analyse premium and claims statistics 
  • Ability to advise Clients/Coverholders on their binder operations to ensure timely payment of premium and settlement of claims
