Analyst - Software Engineering

Overview of the role:

We are looking for a Release Coordinator to join a globally distributed Dev Ops team following an Agile Software Development and Release Methodology. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated individual who owns the coordination of all release phases and activities which involves the release of a system or system update into the production environment. The person should have some basic understanding of source code management tools like GIT and continuous integration tools like Bamboo

In Willis Towers Watson BDA Segment we have major software releases once in two months along with minor software releases every month followed by infra releases twice a month. We would be requiring a personal who would be coordinating all these releases from development and dev_ops side and ensure the timeline and process of the release is followed.

The Requirements

5 to 6 years of software development and/or release experience

•Knowledge in Health care domain is a big plus

•Experience in full software development life-cycle

•Experience in ITSM and Waterfall/Agile processes

•Experience in creating release plan and facilitating release planning meetings with key stakeholders    to identify proper sequencing of release packages

•Experience of coordination of release activities from testing to production environment

•Minimum 3 years work experience in GIT, Jenkins or Bamboo including code merging concepts

•Knowledge of Jira is mandatory

• Must possess basic knowledge of software release deployment of Java and backend

• Basic knowledge of Jboss, Tomcat and Linux server configuration is mandatory

• Basic knowledge of code analysis for both Java and Oracle

• Basic knowledge of Microservice and Cloud Architecture

• Knowledge of iOS and Android app release to respective stores is a plus

•Sound knowledge in word, excel and powerpoint for creating release plans

• Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills

• Should be BTech/BE/MCA/MSc (Computer Science) from recognized Institute/ Univ
