Associate Broker

Performs standardized, high-volume operational activities to support both client & market-facing specialists across the end to end placement lifecycle for new business and renewals. Responsible for program and client-related documentation production, data analysis, and information handling. Provides internal coordination of activity required for executing placements and managing client interactions and queries.

The Role

The Associate Broker supports a team of brokers by assisting with organization, daily operations, communication with clients and insurance markets, document creation for use with clients and insurance markets, assistance with compliance, systems data entry and other support tasks as required. The position also requires running smaller accounts with limited senior supervision.

Performance Objectives:

• Work with brokers to provide day-to-day servicing of accounts, including:
o Issuance of policies and endorsements
o Assist in formulating submissions for insurance carriers
o Assist with quote comparative spreadsheets
o Issuance of compliance documentation
o Assist and coordinate responses to RFP’s
o Organize internal, prospect and client meetings
o Carry out surplus lines, market security, sanctions, and third party payment procedures
o Support invoicing of all Shipowner accounts
o Follow up on invoicing and accounting inquiries
o Maintain updated account list
o Review and manage policy expiration list.
• Learn and utilize WTW software and systems – ECLIPSE, RADAR
• Add/renew policy record in ECLIPSE; upload required documentation throughout placement
• Maintain client and prospect lists within CRM in large market, middle market and industry focus areas

The Requirements

• High school diploma required. College degree preferred
• One to three years insurance underwriting and/or broking experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
• Moderate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is helpful
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills with a track record of success working against tight deadlines
• Ability to work autonomously or within the team, while working towards tight deadlines
• Must demonstrate attention to detail, with a high level focus on quality
• Ability to conduct research
• Understanding of required placement workflows
• Must demonstrate core competency of Willis Towers Watson Values & Vision
