Data Leader - Investment

Our Data Management team is a vital function in the operation of our delegated Investments business (fiduciary and funds management), ensuring timely and accurate data flows into our systems to facilitate the investment process on a daily basis. We have recently introduced a new operations platform within the delegated investment business, which is being supported by the Data Management team.

The Role

The role holder will assist with managing a team that supports the following areas of operations: 
•    Responsibility for the Daily IBOR Pricing valuation process (Investment Book of Records)
•    Timely sourcing of manager statements, valuations, custodian records to support the Daily IBOR process
•    Completing Data quality control checks to ensure the integrity of our investment and reporting data
•    Completing analysis on pricing issues, liaising with internal or external clients to resolve issues
•    Working closely with global teams (Chicago, London & Manila)
•    Exception reporting and resolution tracking
•    Controls to reduce risk, operational risk & reputational damage
•    Client and investment product on-boarding, including setting up or Clients and Investments (Portfolios / Funds)
•    Setting up Bank Account information, routing rules
•    Periodic reviews of data
•    Data extraction or collection tasks
•    Running reconciliation processes
•    Provide project support
•    Stakeholder manager across all levels of the organization
•    Monitoring the team’s inbox, allocating work & identifying critical queries
•    Managing the team’s workload, developing staff, setting objectives, completing annual/midyear reviews

The Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, business administration, banking, investment or related area
•    Experience of achieving accurate and timely work through others (e.g. in a people management role, lead role 
      within a project or team, mentoring/training experience)
•    Experience within an Operations data management or a related field, ideally within an Asset Management,  
      Wealth Management, Banking, Custodian environment (not essential)
•    Experience within a fact paced Client focused role
•    Effective oral / written communication skills to ensure information and knowledge is shared appropriately 
•    Proficiency in written and spoken English required 
•    Experience in working in an outsource and/or offshore model useful
•    Comfortable working with colleagues at a range of seniorities
•    A can do attitude, quick learner 
•    Strong experience with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•    Experience with SQL is a plus
