Director, Enterprise Security Architect

Summary of Role
  • Provide leadership and guidance on standardising how Architecture is practised and integrated with other domains
  • Collaborate with Information Security and Technology leadership in providing a Security Strategy that helps underpin the overarching IT Strategy
  • Collaborate with and influence technology leaders and stakeholders to produce secure solutions based on reusable architecture
  • Describing the current, future and transitional states of the organisation"EURTMs Security Architecture and controlling the evolutionary path in alignment to overarching divisional and organisational goals
The Role
Major Accountabilities
  • Strategic Security Requirements Management - Elicitation, documentation and verification of strategic requirements for the use of IT across the Enterprise
  • Identify and deliver strategic initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency and are aligned with the Business Strategy
  • Maintain a strategic framework for guiding year-over-year security investment decisions, defined with sustainable metrics for measuring performance and outcome
  • Oversee the creation of technology patterns and roadmaps for the Enterprise that cross multiple domains, underpin the Information Security Strategy and support the Business Strategy
  • Communicate, architectural process and strategies to our key business stakeholders and the Information Security and Information Technology Leadership
  • Collaborate closely with multiple indirect reports and peers from partner groups including Enterprise Architecture and Information Technology; as well as building close partnerships with other Information Security teams with interdependent services including Security Consultancy, Security Operations and Governance, Risk, Compliance
  • Lead positive change efforts by guiding the team and customers through, awareness, buy-in, commitment and acceptance, resulting in enhanced business performance 
  • Build and retain a high performing team capable of adapting to a rapidly changing technology and threat landscape
  • Ensure the team is delivering on projects and commitments: -
              o Promote a "EURoeone team"EUR culture through collaboration and teamwork
              o Ensure work is prioritized and team is clear on expectations for                           quality, timeliness and accuracy
              o Lead with practicality and wisdom in the midst of competing                                 priorities and diverse personalities
The Requirements
  • Professional qualifications in a related subject for example, SABSA, TOGAF, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GSEC (preferable) 
  • Sound experience in an information security role (Consultancy level preferred)
  • Experience of multi-domain, Security Architecture Frameworks 
  • Experience of working within a Global Financial organisation 
  • Effective leader, visionary, and implementer with demonstrated experience in advising and influencing Senior Management
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff in an intelligent, articulate, and persuasive manner
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with key business stakeholders and IT leadership
  • Proven technical knowledge to enable efficient team management
  • Ability to adapt to Change
  • Strong knowledge of information security principles, standards, practices and technologies
