Divisional Director - Specialty Reinsurance

The Role

The successful candidate will provide support to the Producer and Broker in servicing our clients.

Principal Accountabilities :

  • Conduct Risk: To put the interests of clients and the integrity of the market at the heart of the way you do business

Key Responsibilities :

  • Take on responsibility of day-to-day client & market contact to act as the main support for producer(s) /broker(s), to allow time to be spent on continued production activity
  • Support the producing broker(s) in programme design and placement structures on new and renewal business
  • Support the creation and provide technical input to presentations for RFPs, mid-term updates and de-briefs
  • Work in conjunction with Brokers to attend Client meetings & post placement debriefs to provide a fully joined-up service from Willis Re
  • Compile templates to send to global offices to provide information and check the information received back is accurate
  • Analyse client data and produce exhibits, statistics, information pack(s) in support of the placement of a client’s reinsurance programme working closely with our analytical teams where appropriate
  • Liaise with Client, Reinsurers and internal Placement support team in relation to sanctions checks where touch points exist
  • Support creation of placement slips
  • Liaise with Client and Reinsurers on placement slips for pre-inception agreement and placement
  • Send WEM (Willis Excellence Model) quotes, confirmation of status and confirmation of cover
  • Confirm orders; check the file to ensure all information is present and accurate
  • Liaise with Reinsurers for timely return of participations and signed slips
  • Regular contact with clients on technical support/contracts
  • Ensure compliance with Willis policies and WEM throughout the placement process
  • Maintain files in an orderly manner electronically, ensuring these are within WEM guidelines
  • Liaise with our client services operation (claims, pro-rata, accounting) to ensure end to end service of the lifecycle is in order and timely

The Requirements

  • Preferably ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualification
  • Preferably educated to A level standard or relevant industry experience
  • Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office suite)
  • Experience of use and management of broking systems appropriate to own office
  • The ability to recognise cross sell/referral opportunities
  • Experience in supporting client service
  • Experience in delivering applicable compliance standards with client service teams
  • Knowledge of global reinsurance markets
  • Some technical knowledge of reinsurance policies in areas appropriate to own business unit
