Our software solutions underpin a variety of activities, ranging from asset-liability modelling, pricing and reserving, through to economic capital aggregation and allocation.
The Role

Role Priorities:

  • Define and implement solution set within architecture framework
  • Manage technology and processes that are responsible for the firm"EURTMs desktop image, application packaging, deployment and patching solutions
  • Change management review of OS image and application changes
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the firm"EURTMs Desktop solutions are implemented, maintained and monitored to agreed policies and industry best practice.
  • Definition and maintenance of the MS Office suite to firm"EURTMs agreed standards
  • 3rd line analytical problem solving to support Service Delivery SLA"EURTMs
  • Ensure the Desktop image, and any data that resides on it, remains secured 
  • Creation of high quality technical documentation and training material 
  • Conduct regular Business Continuity Testing to ensure agreed recover times can be achieved and access to firm"EURTMs applications and resources is maintained 
Desktop Solutions include, but are not limited to, the following technologies;
  • Active Directory and Group Policy Management
  • SCCM "EUR" Image Build, OS Deployment, Task Sequences, Software Distribution, Asset Management
  • Windows 7 and MS Office 2010 suite
  • Software packaging standards utilizing MSI and App-V technologies
  • Scripting skills to complement desktop management technologies
  • Desktop Virtualization technologies and platforms "EUR" including Citrix XenDesktop, Terminal Services and appropriate hypervisors
  • Application Virtualization technologies and platforms "EUR" App-V and Citrix XenApp
  • Remote access portal solutions "EUR" Client VPN"EURTMs and MS Direct Access 

Key Working Relationships:
  • Partnership with the Collaboration & Application Enterprise Architecture team and the Collaboration Solutions team are required to ensure alignment of all architecture processes, strategies, roadmaps, and standards.
  • Partnership with business stakeholders is required.
  • Partnership with IT Service Delivery to ensure successful service desk operations, change management, and administration.
Key Metrics:
  • Meeting placement objectives which will be regularly reviewed throughout the placement
  • Maintaining client satisfaction as rated by satisfaction surveys of internal clients
  • Workstation performance and patching status to agreed levels
  • Application packaging and deployment SLA
