Job Summary 

As a Consultant you will be responsible for developing new business, leading and managing large client engagements and serving as strategic advisor to clients. You’ll also be asked to contribute your thought leadership in developing newer value propositions to the clientel both in India and abroad, that is consistent with their needs and market development

Overview of business :

The Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) line of business provides risk consulting and financial modelling software solutions primarily to the insurance industry. We help clients improve business performance and create competitive advantage in areas related to financial and regulatory reporting, enterprise risk management, M&A and corporate restructuring, product and market strategies. The business provides both software, and consulting services in areas of financial management and strategic advice to our clients. Our clients include most of the world’s leading insurers, as well as many of the largest local insurers in our target markets. 

As a Consultant with our firm you can expect to gain tremendous exposure to all facets of insurance company operations.

Role objectives :


  •      Build leveraged teams that work effectively together

  •      Ensure consultants are maintaining team progress against established budget, timeline and quality standards

  •      Demonstrate extensive leadership ability by mentoring other consultants through recruitment and training efforts


  •      Serve as the lead Insurance Consulting and Technology strategist/subject matter expert in closing opportunities with new clients of the firm

  •      Cross-sell new projects and services to current Insurance Consulting and Technology clients;  maximize the penetration of key accounts


  •      Finalize and present quality deliverables to clients

  •      Lead and manage multiple Insurance Consulting and Technology consulting client engagements

  •      Establish a trusted advisor role with clients and provide consistent, superior relationship management

  •      Identify opportunities to cross sell projects and services to current clients


Develop plans for execution of large, complex engagements

  • Work on large complex engagements for clients involving pricing, capital modeling, reinsurance structuring, product development, analytics and reserving
  • Finalize and present quality deliverables to clients

Development of Intellectual Capital

  • Contribute to the development of new tools, software and approaches which help our clients improve business performance
  • Key areas of focus will include pricing and financial modeling tools and software for provider risk-taking clients 

The Requirements
  • 8+ years’ industry and/or actuarial experience
  • Good command of both written and oral English
  • Strength in people management including coaching and developing more junior associates
  • Demonstrated ability in the presentation of ideas and solutions
  • High levels of influencing and persuasion skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Ability to identify and solve problems creatively
  • Professional knowledge, or a strong desire and ability to quickly learn about ICT’s Consulting and Technology solutions
  • Experience in India market, with expert knowledge of large Insurance companies being a strong asset
  • Highly credible and experienced at discussing complex client issues and providing innovative potential solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong senior client and colleague working relationships
  • Self-driven achiever with a value for teamwork, collaboration, decisiveness, integrity in all activities
