Program Manager

Summary of the Role
  • Runs the IS Program Delivery Function that fits within the overall IS Change and assurance Pillar
  • Reports to Head of Change and Assurance
  • Owns, drives and delivers against agreed Global Information Security Programs and projects,
  • Provide Change and Delivery support to the wider IS function relating to IS projects 
  • Work in partnership with peers in Security Consultancy and Tech Assurance, Governance, Risk and Compliance and Communication team.
  • Holds very strong relationships with core Business teams and critical interface teams to support the success of Security Projects
  • Supports Head of Change and Assurance with developing future plans for investment
  • Provides varying reporting and data as and when necessary for boards and committee papers
Responsibilities 
  • Overall accountable for Project delivery to time, cost and quality
  • Manage PM"EURTMs delivery of the InfoSec projects in accordance with the agreed framework
  • Liaises with central portfolio and PMO to ensure projects following minimal standards, process and deliverables
  • Key member of Information Security Program SteerCo
  • Drives and validates status reports in timely and accurate manner ensuring quality
  • Manage Project and Program escalations appropriately
  • Program Stakeholder Management at all levels (key, sponsors, business, IS functions)
  • Deliver quality end to end inputs and outputs leading to successful implementations and handover to support teams for Information Security Projects
  • Manage InfoSec project costs (where there is approved remit), ensure any projects have good accounts and logs of Third Party plans and contracts(SoW)
  • Ensures Delivery Assurance is in positive outlook
  • Responsible for ensuring risks and issues are recorded and managed through to resolution
  • Work effectively with the Finance Business Partner to manage the Program Financials and deliver accurate financial updates to the Change Director and relevant Boards

The Requirements 
  • Sound experience in running end to end delivery
  • Experience in Program Management
  • Experience of working within a Global Financial organisation 
  • Effective leader, visionary, and implementer with demonstrated experience in advising and influencing Senior Management
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and at varying detail
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with key business stakeholders and IT leadership
  • Proven technical knowledge to enable efficient team management
  • Ability to adapt to Change
  • Strong knowledge of information security principles, standards, practices and technologies
  • Hold professional qualifications in a related subject for example, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APMP, P3O etc (preferable)
