Relationshipmanager / Team lead Sales Support

As the Health and Benefits Teamleader of our Sales Support and administration team in Belgium you will manage the Sales Support team by enabling them to deliver services effectively to clients and by managing their performance. You will also – as Sales Support - manage your own portfolio with local and international clients, together with the Relationship Manager or with the Global Benefits Management (GBM) champion for GBM clients.

You will consult your clients on a wide variety of complex projects involving the design, implementation and management of a full array of Health and Benefits programs including medical, dental, life, disability, time off and flexible benefits.

You are in contact with the various insurers for your own market research but also to support your Sales Support team in the negotiation of difficult cases.

The role
Your responsibilities will be to:

As Team lead Sales Support:

  • Manage the Sales Support team in Belgium by enabling the team to deliver on client projects through effective communication, training and people management
  • Make sure the team is working as efficient as possible by implementing the Target Operating Model from H&B (BenefitsEngine, Excellence Model)
  • Oversee Compliance, Operation, Claim and Admin for the whole H&B portfolio
  • Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches
  • Contribute to an inclusive and positive working environment
  • Follow up of the collaboration with our Third Party Administration provider

As Sales Support:

  • Deliver superior, consistent client management and deliverables for assigned clients, together with the Relationship Manager
  • Oversee the day to day project, ensuring the progress against established objectives, budgets, timelines, deliverables and quality standards
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
    Contribute to projects within the Specialty area including health management/wellbeing, disability/absence management, pharmacy and claims audits 
  • Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to Client Relationship Managers
  • Placement/negotiation with Vendors

The requirements

  • Proven experience in managing a team
  • Proven experience and success in the design/management of health and welfare plans gained in a consulting, brokerage or carrier environment
  • Strong financial and technical skills; prior experience in health and welfare product pricing, underwriting or valuation work preferred
  • Proven experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
  • Demonstrated success in managing client issues and relationships
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills in French, Dutch and English
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to work with ambiguity
  • Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Strong analytical and creative skill
  • The ability to see the "big picture," leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges
  • Working knowledge of outlook, skype, MS teams, Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint
  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis
  • Bachelor’s degree required
