Sales Leader - Financial Institutions

The Role

The role is for a Sales Leader for the Financial Institutions Line of Business within our Financial Solutions Credit & Political Risk team, based in London. This role will involve working across our various Financial Institution teams and clients, in conjunction with our Global Sales team, to drive new business revenues, and deliver our new business strategy.

  • New client / prospect identification and mapping
  • Key account planning for FI prospects on a Global basis for the CPRI FI Line of Business (LOB)
  • Direct sales to prospects (from initial contact to explaining our value proposition to working with the prospects to experience of value)
  • Working with existing LOB clients to review their use of Insurance to see if we can increase that use of Insurance
  • Management of sales process through client management tools for the Line of Business
  • General advice and support to new clients to streamline transition or product adoption (as the situation may require)
  • Assist with the setting and the delivery of new business targets within the LOB
  • Manage LOB sales people in the different Geographies (track local activity, accuracy of data, ensure they are aware of Global initiatives, prospects and activities).
  • Connect with regional heads (in coordination with Geo Sales leader) to promote and reinforce the LOB and be able to articulate our LOB sales strategy.
  • Ensure all LOB marketing collateral is accurate, relevant and up to date
  • Contribute thought pieces and enhance the LOB brand through active use of business related social media
  • Assist with the execution of the LOB strategy working in collaboration with the other LOB teams as well as external stakeholders

The Requirements
  • Educated to degree level (preferable but not essential)
  • Extensive knowledge of Non-Payment Insurance and bank loan facilities and market experience in this area
  • Experience of direct sales with a successful track record of delivery
  • Familiarity with sales management tools
  • Be familiar with the placement process for placing Non Payment Insurance into the Insurance market
  • Full understanding of Insurance wordings and claims to be able to articulate that to clients and prospects
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Problem solving and decision making skills essential
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal, oral & presentation) skills and interpersonal skills essential
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where lateral thinking, initiative, self-motivation and decision-making skills are crucial
