Senior Project Management Office (PMO) Coordinator (Night Shift)

The Role

The Senior Project Management Office (PMO) Coordinator will report to PMO leadership, to support a variety of project management activities including managing deliverables for software development projects, functional initiatives and other needs in support of the PMO function. The Senior PMO Coordinator will also manage the governance of PMO practices, help define standards, and identify then implement process improvements across the PMO function. The Senior PMO Coordinator will work with other functions to ensure that stakeholder expectations are managed with high quality, accuracy, and timeliness.

  • Works on deliverables that will be delegated by PMO leadership in support of PMO functional priorities and projects
  • Support the management of PMO processes
  • Manages status reporting, project metrics and KPIs and any other relevant reporting and related PMO deliverables
  • Communicate with appropriate stakeholders to ensure that deliverables have high quality and are delivered on time
  • Provides analytical support and completes ad hoc requests as required in line with the PMO function’s needs
  • May serve as a back-up project manager on projects as needed
  • May support Azure DevOps dashboard administration from time to time
  • Uses Microsoft Project / Excel / Visio and PowerPoint to a high standard
  • Coordinate and share best practices with other PMO colleagues to drive effectiveness
  • Ensure adherence to all project policies and standards
  • Assess, refine and improve processes for the PMO function by working with PMO leaders and stakeholders and partnering with cross-functional leaders across software development

The Requirements

  • Extensive experience working in the Project Management Office (PMO) function and high degree of involvement in Project Management (PM) processes and solid understanding of the PM role
  • Experience providing high quality PMO coordination and support within a software development environment
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives (assessment, planning, implementation)
  • Excellent prioritization and work organization skills.
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills. Ability to draw insights from data in a logical, systematic way
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Literate with Jira/Azure DevOps or similar workflow management tools and able to manage dashboards
  • Experience creating and managing data dashboards using PowerBI or similar data visualization tools preferred
  • Highly collaborative and able to gather and synthesize information with minimal oversight
  • Comfortable owning discrete deliverables
  • Experience working with global teams in a dynamic environment
  • Solid understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies, the differences between them and when to apply the more appropriate methodology
  • Excellent MS Excel, MS Visio and MS PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to perform under pressure and pro-active to perform appropriate escalation of issues for resolution.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships at varying levels, including with software development leaders
  • Ability to influence, network and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Ability to initiate actions needed to complete assigned tasks
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Excellent and effective communication, written and verbal
