Senior Scrum Master/Programme Manager- Installs

Summary of Role

The Senior Scrum Master/Programme Manager- Installs role reports to the Scrum Master Lead, with the primary focus of ensuring all Business and Technology aspects of client onboarding are executed to time, budget and quality. The Senior Scrum Master - Installs will work closely with the Installs Lead to support the on boarding of new clients as part of a rolling programme of installations.

They will ensure robust planning and capacity management across all technology resources required for the installs and manage the interdependencies and touch points across Technology Administration Solutions (TAS)  to ensure that the implementation of new clients achieves high quality outcomes within the administration function post implementation.

The Role

Key accountabilities include:

  • Manage multiple scrum teams to drive productivity and deliver success.
  • Identify opportunities for development and work to avoid key person dependencies.
  • Collaborate both within the Client Projects and Installs teams and the wider business and client teams
  • Provide guidance and management leadership to team members.
  • Provide support and guidance as necessary to team members in Project Management best practices, tool use, and approach
  • Collaborate closely with Install Leads and wider tech team contributors to ensure client implementation plans are achievable and client teams understand their technical dependencies
  • Utilise your in-depth experience and knowledge of UK pensions and Programme Management to ensure resources are accurately requested via approvals to support delivery
  • Ensure scheme design is analysed, documented and align with new business proposal and supports the plan
  • Manage resource demand and supply across multiple concurrent installations, ensuring the delivery team meets milestones in good shape and with risks managed.
  • Work collaboratively with client managers, external consultants and clients to ensure business requirements are captured in good time and translated into logical, complete and unambiguous requirements for technical specialist to carry out.
  • Identify, document and promote best practices and patterns to reuse and continuously improve velocity and quality of installs.
  • Maintain a constant focus on ease of administration post implementation, highlighting any potential impacts as and when they are identified.
  • Ensure all tech external dependencies are captured, ensuring these are made visible to business project management.
  • Identify, mitigate and resolve tech delivery and quality risks and issues.
  • Identify and communicate where quality issues within the incoming client artefacts and data impact our ability to deliver a quality implementation and service.
  • Identify scope creep or plan changes and work with client managers, business project managers, client and technology management office as required to manage and mitigate impact.
Business Engagement
  • Provide accurate consistent reporting across all tech elements of projects and programs.
  • Manage communication with Business Project Managers and internal Clients and Stakeholders to ensure that progress is clear, and issues, risks and unmet dependencies are visible at all times.
  • Engage pro-actively with the business and clients to mitigate any impacts their issues may have on overall delivery.
  • Support and attend project and program Steering Committees.
