QA Engineer (Ops Level 2 – 68-63) -  Specialist to Sr. Specialist

Job summary

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You

will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. You will collaborate directly with all members of

the team on design ideas to influence product and technology decisions. We operate an Agile environment with

The Role

· Be able to think BIG and deliver iteratively at the same time

· Work as part of cross functional, Agile & DevOps team to ensure quality is driven throughout the

development process from requirement definition to delivery

· Designing, developing and maintaining the framework and automation scripts and providing automation

expertise to our development team

· Participate in sprint planning, kick-off and backlog refinement meeting to estimate, prioritize and plan QA

automation task

· Analyse automated test coverage and identify areas where coverage could be improved

· Work closely with Developers and QAs to create automation suites for Regression and Functional testing

· Configure and setup test environment including relevant test data

· Review pull requests to ensure tests meets our code quality standards

· Write SQL queries in MS SQL server to fetch data to support backend testing

· Test creation & execution using Selenium, Coded UI, VSTS, MS Azure DevOps and CI/CD tools

· Record and report test results and log defects into MS Azure, HP ALM, TFS etc.

· Proactively bringing issues to the attention of team, generating, proposing and implementing innovative

solutions to solve them

· API automation testing in REST architecture

· Promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork

· Recommend solutions based on experience and industry best practice

The Experience

· Must have

o 6-11 years’ experience in quality assurance specially in UI & API Automation

o 5 years of hands on experience in QA automation testing web / mobile applications and Web

Services (REST API’s)

o Experience creating testing automation frameworks from scratch

o Expertise in automation testing with Selenium Webdriver using C# and .NET framework, Coded UI & VSTS

o Experience using version control system such as GIT, TFS, SVN

o Hands on Database/SQL experience

o Working knowledge of Agile and DevOps (TDD, BDD, CI/CD)

o Passion for digging deep to resolve issues/defects

o Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices

o Coding experience in C# and JavaScript

o Familiarity with .Net environment (MS-SQL,, Visual Studio and IIS)

o Strong communication and collaboration skills

· Nice to have

o BE/BTech in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent software development experience

o Knowledge about Performance testing/load testing

o Knowledge experience about SpecFlow/Cucumber

o Any experience on code scans like Checkmarx, Sonarcube
