Specialist- Research and Product Development

Responsibilities:

The team provides a range of services from information access and delivery (utilizing a number of 3rd-party research subscriptions and WTW proprietary research and data) to primary and secondary research for more complex requests requiring multiple sources and potentially multiple methodologies. Key deliverables include market assessments, company and industry profiles, competitor and competitive analyses, and market trend reports.  The role requires a combination of strong research and analytical skills, communications skills, and business acumen in order to participate in and lead research projects as well as engage with our (internal) clients.

A-         Conduct secondary market research, including identification of relevant sources of information, aggregation/synthesis of findings, and packaging for client delivery.

A-         Assist team leader with stakeholder management, including regular "EURoecheck-in"EUR meetings and review of completed and ongoing work.

Develop familiarity with markets and WTW clients through focus on risks and business trends

  •      Proficiency in using external research sources, e.g. One Source, Hoovers, Factiva, Lexis-Nexis, Bloomberg, etc.
  •      Development of PPT reports documenting study scope, methodologies, key research findings and data analysis, as needed
  •      Basic project management as needed, including managing of timeline and milestones.
  •      Managing several research projects simultaneously
  •      Develop specific market, industry and competitive knowledge which will help in compiling research reports on specific topics, standardised offerings OR bespoke research
  •     Develop and maintain strong, ongoing, productive working relationship with stakeholders for the provision of Market & Client Insights (M&CI) support services.
  • A-    Reviewing data and preparing business models to identify trends and produce forecasts. Based on the outcome,  prepare reports with recommendations
  •      Participate in regular telephonic  discussions, meetings and email communications to  understand and interpret complex research requirements, to communicate project status, and to deliver products and services ensuring stakeholder  satisfaction

  • A-         Awareness of Marketing and competitive intelligence fundamentals of segmentation, positioning, differentiation, BCG Matrix, Michael Porter"EURTMs 5 force analysis, PESTLE, SWOT, etc.
  •      Basic statistical and excel-based analysis for projects and reports.
  •      Ability to develop recommendations and insights based on research findings and represent as graphs, reports and presentations, as needed.
  •      Familiarity and working knowledge of languages like Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, etc. would be an added advantage
  •      The ability to work with urgency under tight deadlines.

  •     Strong interpersonal skills with an inquisitive and creative nature.
  •      Maturity and temperament for handling global clients and senior level management executives.

Qualifications:

  •         University degree in any stream
  •  An outstanding academic record with exposure to Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research or Finance would be preferable
