Originally from Trinidad and Tobago but based in London, I have over ten years' experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. A champion of LGBT+ inclusivity, I'm currently the global co-chair of HyPride, Hyatt's LGBT+ Employee Resource Group, leading on strategies and campaigns to engage internal and external LGBT+ and ally communities. I also launched the first international HyPride chapter in the UK in 2015. Ranking fourth in the 2019 Top 50 Outstanding & Yahoo Finance LGBT+ Future Leaders list, I've also spoken at the House of Commons on the impact of anti-LGBT+ laws across the Commonwealth. Additionally, in 2018 I co-founded Checking-IN, an industry network for LGBT+ professionals and allies working in the hospitality industry.

I began this journey in Diversity & Inclusion a few years ago when working for a charity that focused on social integration. I saw first-hand the benefits of having people from all different backgrounds working together, breaking down barriers and achieving great things for society. As a man who is racialised as Black and identifies as gay, I try to use my personal experiences to shape my work. In doing this work, I care most about honesty and creating space to have open conversations about what can sometimes be very personal and quite challenging issues.
