    LoAnn Halden
    VP-Communications
    IGLTA
I am journalist by degree who morphed into a travel writer and eventually to my communications role for the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association. I am, by my own definition, a "career queer," having always worked primarily in roles that supported the LGBTQ+ community, either in my home base of South Florida or globally, speaking on panels and attending conferences for IGLTA. I've been particularly proud that we've established the IGLTA Foundation to provide mentorship to LGBTQ+ business owners in challenging or emerging destinations, and want to help drive the continued push toward more diversity within our association. I'm currently living in London with my partner (soon to be my wife), and remain passionate about travel and working for the recovery of the tourism industry.
