WorkPride: Be Proud! Becoming an Ally in the Workplace

Creating a safe environment of inclusion, namely when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community, is a common effort that should be created inside out. Allyship is an important step fabricating a sense of family and mutual support inside an organization, especially for groups and communities that might be marginalized in their daily lives outside of work.

This training session discusses what it means to be an LGBTQ+ ally within the workplace. We will start by covering a basic recap on LGBTQ+ spectrum and its evolution over time, as well as introduction to LGBTQ+ identity and pronouns. We will then jump over to an explanation of how to become an effective ally for the community in the workplace and discuss why it is now more important than ever.
