    Oliver is an associate based in Reed Smith’s London office, specialising in contentious and non-contentious UK, EU and international environmental, health & safety, product compliance and product liability law. Oliver is also co-chair of Reed Smith’s LGBTQ+ business inclusion group, PRISM. Prior to commencing his legal career, Oliver worked on Western Balkan issues at the European External Action Service in Brussels. He gained further professional experience at the German Embassy in the Dominican Republic, a political think tank in Washington, D.C., and at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Kuala Lumpur. As a member of several youth leadership communities, including Sandbox, One Young World and Global Changemakers, Oliver has a keen interest in civic society. He, for example, represented the voice of the German youth as Head Delegate of the German delegation during the G20 Youth Summit. Oliver holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law with Politics (University of Manchester) and two Master’s degrees in Public International Law (University of Cambridge) and Commercial Legal Practice (BPP University, London).

    Deven is an experienced lawyer and joined Reed Smith in 2013 to head up a newly created Client Development function. Deven was an associate at Linklaters following which he worked as a Prosecutor and acquired his Higher Rights audience. Deven made a number of positive changes in his role as a Borough Prosecutor resulting in a number of successes which got him the accolade of being branded as the “New Face of the CPS” by the Times Newspaper. After having worked at 3 Magic Circle law firms, Deven joined Reed Smith and implemented the firm’s first global client programme and the first client insights programme. Deven works very closely with the firm’s ex-Asia Managing Partner to meet clients and to help drive change using the intelligence and insights obtained from them. Deven spends a considerable amount of time at Reed Smith’s US offices meeting clients and is a big advocate for change & innovation.
