WorkPride Panel: The Power of Authenticity

Being your authentic self is not only an inspiration for those around you but can also bring outstanding business results for an organization. When people feel comfortable in their own skin, they are keener to being motivated and thus being more productive at work.

Speakers in this panel will share with us a few tips on how to be our authentic selves and how that can be a positive driving force in a career. The panel will include coming out stories at work and how these have helped with personal branding, an overview of the role of LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Groups (ERG) in supporting the coming out journey and some further personal advice from members of the community.

I am a passionate Queer knowmad who believes that cultural understanding and self-awareness are part of the solutions to avoid human conflicts. For inclusion to be part of our daily lives, we first need to start believing in ourselves and give love to ourselves, we are not able to give to others what we are not giving to our own selves. So, how can we give love and compassion to others if we are the first ones to be rude to ourselves? This is why I have been a DEI advocate across different countries, within my work environment and in my extended community, to empower more people to speak up and to live their best life by being true to who they are.
