A Teacher In Wisconsin Has Been Left Jobless After A Catholic School Found Out They Support LGBT+ Community

The teacher had been accepted in a Catholic School in Madison, Wisconsin and had signed a contract.

However, after finding a pride banner on the teacher’s Facebook page the school withdrew their offer.

The school confronted him about the banner and the teacher responded: ‘I will be honest. I do support the LGBT community.’

Allegedly, a senior staff member of the school responded to that: ‘That’s fine. You’ll have to take it down. We all have our own personal values.’

Although the school teacher agreed to take the post down, the Catholic school said to him “We’re rescinding your contract. The priest wasn’t very happy with the LGBT post.”

In a statement, the school said about the matter: “All teachers in a Catholic school are expected to comport themselves publicly in a way that is consistent with Church moral teachings. Multiple clear indications emerged and were brought to the school’s attention, that the teacher publicly held positions contrary to Church teachings.”

The teacher has requested to email anonymous as it may jeopardize their search for further employment.
