Best LGBTQ+ Nights Out in Brighton

The UK is currently in the midst of a heatwave and that means one thing: Brighton is going to be packed with visitors and party-goers alike. The seaside city is known for being the queer hotspot of the country, so if you’re looking for a sea breeze to get you through the current sticky temperatures, and an inclusive night out, it’s the perfect spot. Check out our favorite LGBTQ+ nights happening in Brighton:

1. Transome

One of Brighton’s newest nights launched by Gal Pals co-founder and hosted at Komedia. The night celebrates and centers the trans community, with allies welcome to join in the fun. All proceeds from the event go towards gender-affirming fundraisers for the local community and the next event features iconic local talent DJ Xzan and JUNIPR.

2. Fabuloso in the Park: Brighton Pride

This year marks the 30^th anniversary of Pride in Brighton and Hove, widely known as one of the best Pride’s in the country taking place over three days in Preston Park. This year the line-up includes Christina Aguilera, Paloma Faith, Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Bimini and Cat Burns, among other local LGBTQ+ acts.

The not-for-profit event is supported by proud myGwork partner, Yahoo, and will be raising money for the Rainbow Fund and Pride Social Impact Fund, as well as other Pride community grant programs.

Taking place: Saturday 6^th August – Sunday 7^th August 2022

3. Polyglam

Polyglam is Brighton’s very own multi-award-winning LGBTQ+ dance party. Taking place monthly with a different theme for each event it is known as a queer-centered utopia, bringing together, music, fashion, dance and art.

4. Gal Pals

Founded in 2015 Gal Pals is a night created by and centering queer women, trans and non-binary people. Playing music exclusively by women and taking place in Brighton and London it is one of the few parties of its kind with inclusivity at its core, plus they keep free tickets aside for those on a low income to ensure everyone is able to join in the fun.

5. Tramfrau

Trans Pride Brighton takes place this weekend and Tramfrau is hosting the official after-party bringing a night packed with joyful celebration. From 7:30pm until the early hours of the morning with DJs, live art, performance and installations. Featuring Travis Alabanza, Soofiya, SPINKS and more, plus a portion of the proceeds will go directly to making Trans Pride a reality.
