Canada Drag Race trailer shows pregnant drag queen and major twists and turns in 'Canada vs. the World' teaser
July 4, 2024Canada’s Drag Race: ‘Canada vs. the World’ season 2 trailer (and guest judges) is here and ready to bring the drama, mama.
Under the supervision of head judge Brooke Lynn Hytes, the first glimpse of the upcoming season (watch above) teases escalated drama, featuring returning Canada's Drag Race contestants Tynomi Banks and Miss Fiercalicious engaging in verbal sparring in the Werk Room.
“You're so dramatic,” Tynomi tells her fellow queen, who retorts, “You're only making it worse!” Tynomi fires back, saying to Fierce, “No, I'm not! You're acting foolish!”
Elsewhere, Alexis Mateo from RuPaul’s Drag Race seasons 3, All Stars 1, and All Stars 5 expresses being “genuinely furious” in a heated moment, seen yelling, “Shut the f--- up!” at a fellow queen on set. Kennedy Davenport, another Drag Race alum, doesn't engage in conflict in the teaser but encounters a floating tennis ball while clad in a full-body black bodysuit adorned with tiny dots.
Cheryl Hole from Drag Race UK and UK vs. the World season 1 succinctly captures the drama — and possibly the season — by stating, “I'm not here to win Miss Congeniality again.”
Although drama unfolds, the queens will also showcase their congenial side in Canada vs. the World season 2, as the coveted Golden Beaver twist makes a return, allowing top-performing queens to rescue a bottom-placer from elimination throughout the series' six episodes produced by World of Wonder and Crave.

The trailer also offers glimpses of the queens’ stunning fashion choices, from Alexis’s striking purple showgirl ensemble to Eureka’s attention-grabbing goggles in her confessionals. Miss Fiercalicious stuns the judges by appearing pregnant in a jaw-dropping outfit on the runway.
‘Entertainment Weekly’ reveals the lineup of guest judges for Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World season 2, featuring Real Housewives star and actress Lisa Rinna, pop sensation Alessia Cara, late-night host Samantha Bee, musician Charlotte Cardin, designer Kirk Pickersgill, and Drag Race season 11 and All Stars 6 finalist Ra’Jah O’Hara. Ra’Jah, the previous winner of Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World season 1 in 2022, exclaims from the panel, “Let these hoes have it!” while Rinna jokingly questions her presence, asking in a confessional, “What am I doing here?”
RuPaul amplifies the anticipation in the trailer voiceover, declaring, “The world stage is set for the ultimate battle royale. Nine divas step back into the arena to compete for glory. Are you ready for a Ru-match?”
Apart from the mentioned contestants like Alexis, Kennedy, Eureka, Tynomi, Cheryl, and Fierce, UK queen Le Fil, French competitor La Kahena, and Canada's Drag Race season 1 standout Lemon are also poised to vie for the crown in this international all-star edition.
Alongside Brooke Lynn, judges Brad Goreski and Traci Melchor, consistent figures in Canada’s Drag Race, return for this season. Sarain Fox will join the panel on various episodes.
In the midst of their Canada vs. the World journey, all nine queens from this season will participate in the upcoming RuPaul’s DragCon LA convention coinciding with the season 2 premiere date.
