Fitch Group Earns Highest Score on the Human Rights Campaign 2021 Corporate Equality Index

Achieving the highest score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index was a team effort. The Corporate Equality Index (CEI) is the Human Rights Campaign’s annual assessment of LGBTQ workplace equality—a national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices affecting LGBTQ+ employees.

Building an Inclusive Culture

“I’m so proud of having achieved HRC’s top score our first attempt. A big thank you to the HR department, the Pride Network, and our other team members for their commitment and tenacity in getting this done—and at a time when we’re working remotely. This top rating is an affirmation of our work to create a better, safer, and more inclusive work environment for LGBTQ+ employees and allies,” stated Paul Taylor, CEO and head of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Steering Committee.

The Business Case for Expanding LGBTQ+ Protection

Participating in the survey, and making essential changes across HR, reinforces Fitch’s commitment to DEI, will help to drive recruitment and retention of talent, and eliminates inconsistencies across operations and other business practices.

“From the beginning, as a team, we wanted to make sure we achieved a score of 100—not only for its own sake, but for building a more welcoming and inclusive work environment for our talent around the globe.” – Andy Jackson, Chief Human Resources Officer
