Gabby Logan Says Women’s Sports Need to Be “Protected” From Trans Athletes

BBC presenter Gabby Logan has spoken with the Daily Mirrorabout how she believes women’s sports should be “protected” from trans athletes. Logan has joined Sharron Davies and Martina Navratilova in condemning their participation in professional sports.

“[Sharron Davies] has been very vocal, she’s been on a lot of TV shows and talked about it a lot on her social media,”Logan said.

“As with a lot of female athletes, she’s had a lot of abuse, a lot of criticism from the transgender community who are very upset that she has spoken out.

 “We’re dealing with science here.”

Logan made pains to say she wasn’t trying to attack the transgender community, but was wanting to ensure the world of professional sports remained fair.

Logan’s remarks have been criticised by LGBT+ activists, as the debate around trans athletes intensifies.
