Katie Sowers To Become The First Female And Openly Gay Coach At The Super Bowl
Katie Sowers will make history by becoming the first woman and openly gay person to coach at the Super Bowl, as reported by ‘The Huffington Post’.
Sowers, who’s is just 33 years old, is also the only openly gay coach at the NFL.
49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo says Sowers has done a great job with the team’s receivers.
“She been tremendous,” Garoppolo said. “Katie was here before I was, but just what she does with the receivers, all the skill positions guys, how she interacts with them. It’s special. She’s feisty, man. Katie is awesome out there. She’ll get after guys … It’s fun to be around.”
Sowers will coach the 49ers as they play against the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LIV on February 2nd.
