Leslie Jordan Dies Age 67

Leslie Jordan, the Emmy-winning actor and queer icon, has passed away in Los Angeles at the age of 67, following a car accident.

According to TMZ, Jordan was driving in Hollywood when, it is thought he suffered a medical emergency while behind the wheel and crashed his car into the side of a building.

According to Star Observer, a representative for Jordan posted on the actor’s Instagram: “The love and light that Leslie shared will never go out and we invite you to share your memories and comfort each other during this time. In the coming days we will be giving a glimpse of a project Leslie was really proud of and was looking forward to sharing with the world.”

In a statement, Jordan’s agent said, “The world is definitely a much-darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan. Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times," referring to his social media presence during the Covid-19 pandemic. “Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today

Leslie is best known for playing Karen Walker’s nemesis, Beverly Leslie, on the groundbreaking TV series Will & Grace, for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award. Jordan also acted in multiple seasons of the TV series American Horror Story.

Jordan’s breakout role came in 1989 when he was cast as the wrongly imprisoned Kyle, in a season one episode of the TV series Murphy Brown.
