New Poll Shows Pete Buttigieg Would Win Against Trump

A new poll from Quinnipiac University has found that all six of the leading Democratic candidates would beat President Trump in a general election, this includes openly gay candidate Pete Buttigieg.

The poll found Buttigieg would win 47 percent of the popular vote, while Trump would only secure 42 percent.

Joe Biden had the largest lead against Trump: 53 percent to his 40.

While Bernie Sanders’ lead was 51 to 42, Kamala Harris 49 to 41, Elizabeth Warren 49 to 42 and Cory Booker 47 to 42.

All the candidates fared better with younger voters, as well as with women and Black and Hispanics voters.

“The head-to-head matchups give this heads up to President Donald Trump’s team: Former Vice President Joseph Biden and other Democratic contenders would beat the president if the election were held today,”explained the assistant director of the poll, Tim Malloy.

“Leads range from Biden’s 13 percentage points to thin five-point leads by Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Cory Booker.

“It’s a long 17 months to Election Day, but Joe Biden is ahead by landslide proportions.”
