Queer-owned clothing line makes “I Really Care” jackets in response to Melania Trump
Wildfang, a queer-owned clothing company in Portland, Oregon has responded to Melania Trump’s controversial fashion choice last week. The First Lady was seen wearing a Zara jacket bearing the words “I Really Don’t Care, Do U?” as she was boarding a plane to visit detention centres in Texas where immigrant children had been forcibly taken from their parents.
Wildfang has produced a line of “I Really Care, Don’t U?” merchandise in response, with all the proceeds going the Refugee Immigrant Centre for Education and Legal Services (RAICES), a non-profit that provides much-needed legal services to undocumented immigrants.
Wildfang has reported they raised over $15,000 for RAICES in just the first two hours alone, with their Melanie-inspired cargo jacket selling out overnight.
