Record 68 Percent of Brits Think Same-Sex Relations Are “Not Wrong at All”
In a new record, nearly two-thirds of all British people think same-sex relations are “not wrong at all”, in a new study published earlier this month by the Government Equalities Office.
This is the highest approval rate for same sex relations since polling began – it was only in 1998 that more than 50 percent of the British public thought gay sex was “always/mostly” wrong.
The study also found a generational gap, with more than 80 percent of 18-to 24 year oldssaying same-sex relations was never wrong – compared to just 29 percent of those over 75.
However, the study found that attitudes on trans people still had a lot to go, with on 52 percent of respondents agreeing that ant-trans prejudice was always wrong and 39 percent saying that discriminating against trans people wasn’t always wrong.
