Congratulations to Santander’s Head of Culture and Experience Damien Shieber who has been shortlisted as a Top 10 Inspirational leader in the British LGBT Awards 2022!

The British LGBT Awards 2022 shines a spotlight on role models and organisations who are working to better the needs of LGBTQ+ people. Damien actively champions LGBTQ+ inclusion to influence positive change through being a visible role model for LGBTQ+ colleagues. This includes sharing non-binary and mental health lived experiences to educate, drive allyship, and advocate for Santander to be the place to be yourself.

Damien has also worked to place real importance on intersectional inclusion through work on industry boards and leadership teams including as a member of the Business in the Community Wellbeing Leadership Team to drive change and collective action in LGBTQ+ workplace support for mental health and wellbeing.

Santander is also in the Stonewall Top 100 (Gold award).
