South African Actress Forced To Come Out As A Lesbian After Newspaper Publicly Outs Her
A South African actress, Letoya Makhene, has been forced to publicly come out as a lesbian after South Africa’s ‘Sunday World’ newspaper publicly outed her.
According to ‘One True Voice Online’, the newspaper ran a headline that read: “Letoya lesbian lover revealed”. Makhene shared an image from the newspaper on Instagram writing: “Well, it was only a matter of time before the world found out about us.” She tagged her girlfriend and wrote: “Here’s to our beautiful future together, my love.”
Her girlfriend responded to the post by writing: “Being with you really makes me feel peaceful and content. I really don’t want to hear what people have to say. The only thing that matters to me right now is YOU… it’s US.” She added: “I LOVE YOU TOYA.”
Makhene was welcomed by the LGBT+ community with many supporters sharing the news with a congratulatory message on Twitter.
