VMware India Awarded Top Employer For LGBT+ Inclusion

VMware India has been recognized as a ‘Gold employer’ within the 2021 India Workplace Equality Index. A first-of-its-kind in India and the only definitive study of workplace LGBT+ inclusion in the subcontinent, the index examines nine areas of employment policy and practice, including policies and benefits, employee life cycle, employee resource group, allies and role models, senior leadership, monitoring, procurement, community engagement, and other initiatives.

Together with our partners and allies, our PRIDE POD in India continually brings in greater awareness and a deeper understanding of the LGBTQI+ community amongst colleagues and, importantly, educate employees on being influential allies. Since the launch of India PRIDE@VMware in 2018, the team has come a long way in helping build a pride-inclusive workplace and driving a culture all-inclusive for everyone at VMware India. As a result, many successful programs and initiatives were launched and executed at the site. From celebrating Pride month, Tiny tales- Picture contests, all-inclusive medical coverage, Talk series with people in the industry from the community, and importantly, driving sensitization sessions across the organization.
