Watch: Trailer For Elton John’s New Fictional Biopic “Rocketman”
The trailer has been released for Elton John’s new film “Rocketman”. The film is inspired by Elton’s earlier years, although has its own absurdist take on events. Produced by Elton and his husband David Furnish, it also stars Taron Egerton (who co-starred alongside Elton in Kingsman).
“Everyone thinks it’s a biopic. It isn’t,” said Edgerton to Collider.
“It’s a fantasy musical so it’s actually his songs used to express important beats in his life at emotional moments.
“He’s not the only character that sings. It’s going to be fun.”
The film is directed by Dextor Fletcher and written by Lee Hall. It will be released early next year.
