Working at CGI

CGI’s ownership culture is the essence of who we are and fuels our success. Every member has a role in building our company, with the opportunity to make a real difference. This sense of ownership and pride influences every aspect of our work. It drives client loyalty and shareholder growth, and it creates extraordinary career opportunities for our members. We are a people-led services company, collaborating to benefit our clients, shareholders and communities through innovative ideas, hard work and outstanding delivery. As owners, we have the power to create the future.

Diversity & Inclusion

We know diversity brings a greater variety of ideas, perspectives and experiences to the workplace. It also contributes to a positive environment where all members have the opportunity to thrive. We actively encourage diversity in our workplace, and inclusivity at work is one of our top priorities.

We have member-created networks that strive to provide a community surrounding members who share a common bond, offer encouragement and support, and delivers activities and awareness to ensure everyone has the opportunity to contribute to our success.

All our networks encourage ally membership. A diversity and inclusion ally is someone willing to take action in support of another person, to remove external barriers that may impede that person from contributing their skills and talents in the workplace or community. An ally will understand and respect their colleagues and recognise that diversity brings strength to an organisation. They will stand up for colleagues in the face of inappropriate behaviour in others.

About your LGBT+ / Inclusion Network

The UK LGBT+ and allies’ network is a member-led network for members and allies of alternate sexuality or gender identity. We aim to promote understanding and togetherness across all members. Our members have access to an active Teams channel with chat, charity and entertainment channels to share ideas and connect with colleagues.

We hold regular social events, such as quizzes and competitions, and special sessions for significant days in the LGBT+ calendar. We are engaged with the other CGI UK networks to share knowledge and best practice and with LGBT+ networks in other organisations in our sector. This gives some great opportunities to meet others and participate in shared entertainment nights, such as Drag Bingo.

Behind the scenes, the network committee works with HR, DE&I and others to ensure CGI is an inclusive place for all. This involves working on policies, recruitment and confidential support for any welfare queries from members and managers.
